How many days are the train the trainer courses?

Our initial program is three days. This includes our two-day instructor development program and the specific training the Train the Trainer candidate wishes to take. For example, Fall Protection, Forklift, Confined Space, Scissor Lift, etc.

Does an instructor always need to take a three-day training program?

No, unless the instructor wishes to, or it has been recommended that they do so. If an instructor wishes to add an additional course to their instruction, they will need to take a one-day training program.

Are there any audits required after the completion of the training?

Yes. An audit is required within one year from the completion date of a train the trainer program. After an audit has been completed an instructor will receive a certificate that is valid for three years. Every three years a course maintenance audit will be conducted.

How do I maintain my instructor certification?

Instructors must teach a minimum of two courses per year while uploading and submitting the required documentation for their courses. This documentation includes Class Roster and Certificate numbers. Additionally, course packages must be ordered from Red Tail in order to teach the classes.

Is there required equipment for each course?

Yes. For each course, there are required pieces of equipment. Please see the safety course page that you wish to instruct or contact us here.

What type of experience qualifies a candidate for Red Tail Industries Train the Trainer courses?
