Bucket Truck Operation

Due to the wide range of applications for this equipment, truck mounted aerial lifts have become one of the most utilized pieces of equipment in industry. Hazards can include falls, contact with live wires, tipping and contact with structures resulting in worker injury.

This 8 hour course will provide the student with the necessary skills to confidently instruct a Bucket Truck Operation Course. Upon successful completion of both the Train the Trainer course and a course audit, the instructor will be certified for three years.

Learning Objectives

Review of Bucket Truck Operation manual and PowerPoint
Review of administrative material including registration forms, supplemental material and student exam
Review and demonstration of Practical components associated with the course
Instructor teach-back presentations

Course Pre-Requisites

Completion of Red Tail Instructor Development Program
Minimum three-year experience with confined spaces (References Required)

Current Bucket Truck certification valid on the first day of the Train the Trainer course.
Must have access to a Bucket Truck to teach the program. If you are unsure, please contact Red Tail Industries.

Course Recognition

The standards in this program meet or exceed all requirements of the CSA, Canada Labour Code, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations for all provinces and territories (excluding Quebec). CSA C225-10, CSA Z1001-18(R2022).
